The Broward County Medical Association has a large but diverse membership with a mix of physician specialties and areas of practice, ages, and practice settings. It is no longer true that one size fits all. We want to bring members together who have common questions, needs, and goals. For example, the Women Physician group of the BCMA, is a very enthusiastic, energetic group that enjoy the networking, the business and medical education, and the sharing of problems and successes during their quarterly meetings, which are very well attended. No one, including the BCMA can foresee the future of health care in South Florida nor can we advise our members on what exactly they need to do to prepare for the next 5-10 years, but if we work together to problem solve, anticipate the future trends, and adapt to whatever changes come our way, we will all survive.
